Blue Heart Mosaic

Earlier this year, we created a blue mosaic heart on a stone slab to commemorate 2020, the year of the nasty pandemic that has taken the world by storm. Covid-19 has affected countless people globally, impacting individuals, their means of livelihood, and their families adversely.

This blue heart mosaic stands in our front garden as a mark of thankfulness to all the frontline workers in the middle of these unprecedented times. Those that left behind their loved ones at home to venture out to the call of duty, risking their lives for ours.

We wish for a better, kinder world in the coming year. A world where people are not afraid to meet, to hug and hold hands, and most importantly, a world that does not place restrictions on our freedom. Hope our wish for a happier, healthier world comes true soon.

Happy 2019

As another old year winds to a close, here is my mantra for the glittery, shiny, joyous new year that is just round the corner.

Hope I can live by this mantra in the coming months, with hope guiding my path with its light, as I savour each moment of the journey.

Wishing all my readers, followers, friends, and well-wishers a creatively fulfilling 2019, with many new beginnings.

Happy 2013

Wish all my readers a happy, joyous, peaceful, and safe 2013.

Here's hoping this year makes us wiser to our responsibilities as citizens of the world's largest democracy. And may we find creative solutions to tackle all our problems!

Annual Recap & HNY

It is that time of the year again. Time to sit back and mull over the year gone by, and make wishlists for the coming year.

This past year, 2011, has been a mixed bag. But most of all, it has been a year of immense learning. On a number of fronts. And that is what is the most important takeaway for me. So even while I have not been able to paint as often, or finish as many pieces as I'd like to, the fact that I have grown through my random experiences (good and bad) is what I'd like to remember this year for.

As for 2012, I'll use these much-loved lines from Robert Frost:

"The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep,

And miles to go before I sleep."

Wish you all a colourful and creative new year!!!

p.s. - The kids start their vacations tomorrow, so the artist takes a backseat for the next couple of weeks. Just an alert, that the posting may get a lil' sparse till the mommy is kept busy! :)

Happy New Year 2011

New year greetings to all my readers... May 2011 turn out to be bigger and better, in all respects. And add a host of new colours to your lives!

That I achieved to create double the number of artworks in 2010 as compared to 2009 is a big enough high for me to end the year on. :) So what if I am unable to post a picture for you all today (I got all confused between wires, and carried the wrong set on my vacation, so no downloads!).

Blogging tends to get a bit slow around this time of the year, but thankfully work hasn't stopped. So I shall be back around mid-Jan with a host of new paintings to show.

Till then, wishing you a creative start to the new year!

Balcony Love

As the year winds to an end, it is time again to sit back and reflect. Recapture the moments of the past twelve months, the hits and the misses, the highs and the lows, the joys and the sorrows... for Life is like a pallette, with all kinds of colour!

Here's signing off for this year by offering you a chair to sit on, in a peaceful ambience, as you embark on your reflections.

Balcony Love, as I call this painting, is a view of my living room sit-out from inside. Hope you enjoy the view! :)

And hope the new year 2010 adds more splashes of colour to the pallette of your life!

Happy New Year!

Here's wishing my readers a peaceful, serene and safe 2009.

May the new year bring new hope, and be creatively fulfilling!

I leave you this year with a picture of the Red Sock Santa that I made for the kids' Christmas display this year. Not a very fantastic piece but it gave the kids a lot of joy, and that is what matters the most.
I will be away from my blogs for a few months as I will be busy moving houses.
I hope to be back with you sometime in the middle of 2009 with lots more to report about my creative projects.
